Well, this is frustrating. It seems like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is having some login problems that are affecting quite a few people, including yours truly. The biggest problem with these issues is the simple lack of information given by Nintendo. No words that they're working on the issue, whether a patch will come up and fix things, what the issue even is. I've tried changing languages, in game and on my phone. I've tried doing a forced fix on the game. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've updated my OS. I've restarted my phone. I've gone on Wi-Fi. I've gone on data. Nothing makes a difference, and nothing helps. Meanwhile, events are still happening and people are left in the lurch, unable to complete them for what, a year? If we're lucky, and the events repeat without being something new and having the items be unobtainable forevermore? Never mind the whole issue of not being able to log in looks badly on your friends list timer. Who likes having friends who don't log in for days, weeks, at a time? How useful will they be to helping you get into the quarry, for keeping their item boxes filled? This issue is so extremely frustrating. Nintendo hasn't even acknowledged the Android problems, speaking only to iPhone problems, even though there are Android exclusive items available now, that Android users can't access due to the login issues. If this lack of information is what's to be expected from the company for their mobile platforms, I don't really know what to think. In most games, things aren't so time sensitive or are fixed quickly, but it's been 3 days at this point with absolutely no word and so many issues still happening. I almost want to just give up already. The worst thing that can happen is to give your customers and consumers no information, and it absolutely drives me up a wall. Instead, they just keep tweeting about new updates and events coming up with no public acknowledgement over the issues. Even emailing customer support gets you nowhere. I enjoyed the game for the few months it was available, but if it takes over a week for it to get fixed, I'm pretty sure I'm going to return to an empty friends list and having missed two irreplaceable events, which will make going forward bittersweet, and still upsetting. It may actually kill the game for me, simply because I don't enjoy being treated like I don't matter as long as other people are still able to log in.

とびだせ どうぶつの森 Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? I started my adventure in Animal Crossing the day it game out, and it has been absolutely amazing so far. I think I have managed to at least check out my shops on a daily basis, even if I couldn't play for a longer period of time. I have a few friends that are also playing, so having a few different villages to hang out in is pretty neat! I think we now have every fruit except for apple... It is being quite the elusive fruit. It's even better when we all wind up on the island together and do some island tours though; they're pretty hilarious. As in previous Animal Crossing games, the player takes role of a newcomer to the village. The difference with this instance is that you get mistaken to be the mayor! As the newly instated mayor, it is the players duty to create a wonderful environment for the town, as well as craft public work projects either at their own whim or at the behest of the other villagers. I think one of my favorite parts so far is the new dress system; the last Animal Crossing game I played was the original one on my Gamecube! It seems like forever ago, and I still have my old memory cards with the different villages on them. On my first day, I found the Steampunk glasses, but no corresponding outfit; the natural course of action for me was to create my own steampunk dress. I've since created a Fi dress, a Strawberry Chocolate shirt, and a Ramen Pusheen long-sleeved dress. The pusheen one was inspired by the shirt on the website, Hey Chickadee! I've also upgraded my home a few times now, and have the largest sized main floor, a relatively large upstairs, as well as a room in the back and one off to the right. I'm currently working on paying off my Eastern room so I can switch the items in the Northern room with the items currently in storage over there. I finished my museum renovation today, which means that instead of my museum displaying only fossils, fishes, bugs, and paintings, it can now also display rooms as created by villagers. Since I have some furniture that I don't actually want to display in my house, this was the perfect solution! One thing that was driving us absolutely crazy for the longest while was the presents that float overhead... They no longer eventually get stuck in a tree, but will rather float over your town and then beyond it if you do not have a trusty slingshot with you... The real reason they're frustrating is because it's the only way to fully collect the "Balloon Set". My museum is getting to be quite full! I think I've caught at least 60% of all sea critters, as well as close to 80% of all the fossils. I try to make it my policy to donate the first of everything, so that way I never have to worry about whether I've already donated one or not. If there's no "I wonder what my encyclopedia says about ___", then it's a good animal/fossil/bug to sell. Makes it way less stressful, haha! I'll upload more pictures of my house as it gets closer to completion. I finally decided on my bedroom set, and moved my main floor upstairs, as I liked the set, as a whole, more. I may still change my mind as I collect more of the "Patchwork Set". I'm quite excited to gather the rest of it and put it together. I love candy quite a bit, so I'm also working on a Candy set for my back room, and a Mario themed set for another. I haven't quite decided what I want to put in the Mario one yet, though, as no room is large enough to display everything and still be livable. I also need to find just the right outfit, as the crown I'm wearing is part of the "Ornate Look", and my dress is currently "Iconic". Hmm. Decisions decisions. Stay Tuned! |
